DENTAL TECHNOLOGY

Advanced technologies for accurate treatment

We care for our patients! By investing in new technologies and continuing education, we make your dental treatment less invasive,  more accurate and comfortable, leading to better outcomes for you.

CONE-BEAM COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY (CBCT)

  • Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is a type of advanced diagnostic imaging and a variation of the traditional computed tomography systems. CBCT is used when traditional dental x-rays are not enough to provide dentists with the information they need to properly diagnose, plan, or address the needs of a patient. We use CBCT to ensure our patients get the best dental care that we can provide. Our dental professional operates the CBCT system by rotating it around a patient, capturing data using a cone-shaped x-ray beam. This data is used to reconstruct a 3-D image of the patient’s anatomy in the region around their teeth, mouth, jaw, and neck.

  • CBCT imaging adds another dimension to x-ray imaging, providing more details to better diagnose a problem and ensure the best in patient care. With 3-D digital imaging, our dentists can easily identify abnormalities within your bone. This information makes planning for surgery and other procedures much more efficient. Our dentists use this information to plan implants, visualize abnormal teeth, evaluate the jaws and face, assess cleft palate, or diagnose cavities, endodontics (root canal), and dental trauma.

DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHY

  • Digital radiography, also known as digital x-rays, is a mainstay of dentistry and an important preventative tool for spotting dental abnormalities. Digital x-rays are a modern tool of digital technology and safer than the old-school x-rays, in that they provide better image qualities and allow for a more precise diagnosis of dental problems. Our dentists use it to diagnose patients' oral health problems, including gum disease, cavities, infections, and abnormal growths. X-rays are often used to determine the underlying source of tooth pain for patients. Digital x-rays can help lower x-ray exposure. Therefore, our dentists consistently use it to monitor the health of a patient's teeth and gums.

Intra Oral Cameras

  • Use of the intraoral camera is the fastest and most effective way to communicate with our patients. An intraoral camera is a high-resolution camera that fits comfortably inside a patient's mouth. This tiny camera allows the dentist to obtain accurate and detailed images inside of the patient's mouth. The images let the patient be able to see their problem and are more motivated to discuss the problem with the dentist.
