CONE-BEAM COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY (CBCT)

Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is a type of advanced diagnostic imaging and a variation of the traditional computed tomography systems. CBCT is used when traditional dental x-rays are not enough to provide dentists with the information they need to properly diagnose, plan, or address the needs of a patient. We use CBCT to ensure our patients get the best dental care that we can provide. Our dental professional operates the CBCT system by rotating it around a patient, capturing data using a cone-shaped x-ray beam. This data is used to reconstruct a 3-D image of the patient’s anatomy in the region around their teeth, mouth, jaw, and neck.
